“LITTLE SANTA” DISTRIBUTED GIFTS TO CHILDREN IN CHILDREN’S HOSPITALS

Sunday 22 December 2024 – Vassilis and Ioanna Dragni with their children, Paris, Stephanos and Evangelia, took the initiative of the humanitarian action “Little Santa” and offered 150 gifts to the children who were hospitalized during the Christmas period at the Children’s Hospitals “P. & A. Kyriakou”, “Agia Sophia” and “Pedonas Penteli”. This charity action was carried out through the humanitarian organization Lifeline Hellas, participating in the “Children helping Children” campaign of Lifeline4Youth. More than seventy children participated in this touching act of giving, who as “Little Santa”, sent their gifts and visited the children in the hospitals in order to give them joy at Christmas and wish them to get well soon. Also, the choir group of the “Municipal College of Psychiko” took part with the children, who sang carols and distributed gifts and joy with their Christmas songs. The choir was accompanied by the Director of the Primary School of Psychiko College, Dimitra Panagouli, the Assistant Director, Vana Karkasi and the choir’s director, Nikolai Manolikakis. The Greek toy and book company “Desyllas” supported the touching offer of “Little Santa” by offering toys and books delivered by Anastasis Desyllas and his children to the Pediatric Hospital of Penteli and the company GEON with Vangelis Georgiou and his son. ABY Princess Catherine was represented by her daughter-in-law and Honorary Vice President of Lifeline Hellas, Dr. Andji Margariti Andrews and on her behalf sent her best wishes to the children for a Merry Christmas and wished them health and good progress in the New Year with the hope that they will recover soon. The President of Lifeline Hellas, Nasia Papamanoli, who was unable to attend due to illness, sent her love and warm wishes to the children for a good recovery and for the new year to have good health and good progress. The visits were attended by the Joint Governor of the interconnected General Children’s Hospitals “P. & A. Kyriakou and Agia Sophia, Emmanuel Papasavvas, and the Deputy Governor of the “Pediatric Hospital of Penteli”, Evstathia Katokou, who thanked Lifeline Hellas for its offer. The visits were graced by the presence of Princess Catherine’s son, David Andrews and his wife Dr. Andzi Margariti Andrews and their son Alexandros, the Vice President of Lifeline Hellas Dr. Fofi Kamposhiora, the treasurer Ivi Azaria and the members of the Board of Directors, Marilli Syllantavou with her husband George and Michael Dalakouras as well as the Deputy Head of the Regional Council for Alsace – Parks & Rita Moraitaki – Pikrou, President of EKAPTY.
