WORLD PREMIERE OF THE BALLETS OF THE PARIS OPERA GARNIER FOR THE PURPOSES OF LIFELINE HELLAS

Thursday, May 29, 2025 – With great success, the humanitarian organization Lifeline Hellas held the world premiere of the charity performances of the PARIS OPERA JUNIOR BALLET, the cream of contemporary classical dance, directly from the historic Garnier Opera of Paris, at the Athens Concert Hall on Tuesday, May 27 and Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in collaboration with visionary culture.

The purpose of these exceptional performances was to continue the work of providing modern incubators to the children’s hospitals “Agia Sofia” and “P. A. Kyriakou”, which Lifeline Hellas has been carrying out for three years in state hospitals in Greece.

These unique performances were held under the auspices of the French Embassy in Greece, the Hellenic-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and HRH Princess Katherine, founder of Lifeline.

It was a rare opportunity for the Greek audience to enjoy, first worldwide, a unique program as part of the international tour of the Paris Opera Junior Ballet; a program that combines works from the classical repertoire with contemporary creations, dynamically showcasing the future of classical dance on an international level. Four top works of global choreography were presented by eighteen outstanding young dancers, under the direction of the Artistic Director of the Paris Opera, José Martinez, who was present. The performance captivated the audience and received its warmest applause.

The President of Lifeline Hellas, Nasia Papamanoli, warmly thanked the audience for their emotional response as well as the sponsors of the evening and the supporters for their invaluable support. She also referred to the important work of the association in providing high-value modern medical equipment to state children’s hospitals in Greece.

The Honorary Vice President of Lifeline Hellas, Dr. Angie Margariti Andrews, conveyed the heartfelt message of HRH Princess Katherine, who thanked the audience and the contributors to the performance, expressing her love and gratitude to all attendees and supporters.

The performances were honored by the presence of Princess Katherine’s son David Andrews with his wife Dr. Angie Margariti Andrews, Honorary Vice President of Lifeline Hellas, and Princess Katherine’s sister Betty Roumelioti. Also present were members of the Board of Directors of Lifeline Hellas, Dr. Fofi Kamposiora, Dr. Ioannis Patiniotis, Yiannis Sachinis, Ivi Azaria, Marilli Syllantavou, Aurette Arkas, Ioanna Dragni, Erietta Vordoni, Michalis Dalakouras, and Ersi Tsakiroglou, as well as many other distinguished guests.
