THE BRIGHTEST CHRISTMAS CHARITY DINNER BY LIFELINE HELLAS TO SUPPORT ATHENS CHILDREN’S HOSPITALS

Tuesday, December 17, 2024 – The humanitarian organization Lifeline Hellas successfully organized, for the 19th consecutive year, its traditional Christmas charity dinner on Monday, December 16, 2024, under the auspices of HRH Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine at the “Grande Bretagne” hotel. The event aimed to support the neonatal departments of the children’s hospitals “P. and A. Kyriakou” and “Agia Sofia” by providing incubators.

The overwhelming participation of the public in support of the organization’s goals was moving, ensuring the event was fully booked from the moment it was announced.

The President of Lifeline Hellas, Nasia Papamanoli, welcomed the attendees and extensively referenced the organization’s work throughout the year, thanking the sponsors, supporters, and participants of the evening. Together with the Board of Directors, they awarded Dr. Ioannis Patiniotis, Vasilis and Alexia Savramis, and the company KPMG for their significant contributions to public hospitals through Lifeline Hellas. The Lifeline awards were crafted by the international artist Angeliki Angelidi.

Then, everyone sang Christmas carols together accompanied by the youth choir of Leonteios School of Nea Smyrni. The forty-five children of the choir welcomed the attendees with Christmas songs. During the cocktail, the harp captivated the guests with its melodies.

The common Administrator of the interconnected General children’s hospitals of Athens, Emmanouil Papasavvas, thanked Lifeline for the five state-of-the-art incubators recently delivered to the “P. and A. Kyriakou” children’s hospital and the organization’s significant contribution to public hospitals.

The attendees were particularly moved by the message from HRH Princess Katherine, read by her daughter-in-law and Honorary Vice President of Lifeline Hellas, Dr. Anji Margariti Andrews. The Princess sent her love to the attendees and expressed her regret for not being able to attend due to unforeseen circumstances that prevented her from traveling, with the promise that she would soon be with them.

Additionally, Dr. Anji Margariti Andrews thanked the anonymous and named donors as well as the friends of Lifeline Hellas for their long-standing trust.

The event was presented by Vicky Kaya. The entertainment program began with a song by Alexander Andrews, grandson of the Princess, and continued with the great performer Olga Veneti, who enchanted the audience with her wonderful voice and orchestra, and the unique Giorgos Davlas.

Participants enjoyed the beautiful decoration curated by Emi Trikardou with her company Artemide and received wonderful gifts from the companies Kerastase, Redken, and Athonites. Dimitris Iordanis, specialized in designing customized jewelry, offered his beautiful charms. The company Max Perry treated guests to its delicious Christmas delicacies.

Attending the event were Princess Katherine’s son David Andrews, with his wife, Dr. Anji Margariti Andrews, Honorary Vice President of Lifeline Hellas, and their son Alexander, Princess Katherine’s sister Betty Roumelioti with her daughter Anna Soussi and granddaughter Betty Vassiliou. The event was honored by the presence of the organization’s Honorary Presidents, Ioannis Trikardos with his wife Emi and Dr. Zisis Boukouvalas with his wife Dr. Alkistis Prinou.
